Faculty of Nursing, a part of the prestigious Bhabha University, is a premier institution dedicated to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals, bridging the gap between healthcare demands and skilled professionals. Faculty of Nursing established in 2019 under Ayushmati Education and Social Society, (R.No.-7407) Dated 15.10.1999. With the motto “Service before Self” to the human society. Institution head affiliation from Indian Nursing Council, (INC) State Nursing Council,  (MPNRC) , UGC and MPPURC Bhopal, (M.P.)

We have 100 bedded own Parent Bhabha General Hospital and are affiliated to different organization for the best clinical expertise. We are committed to nurturing our students into proficient practitioners by providing exemplary hands-on training and clinical experience in the most reputable care settings RK Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Govt. Mental hospital Indore , Govt. Community Health Centre , Kolar and Primary Health Centre Misrod, Bhopal.

The Mission

The mission of Faculty of Nursing is to challenge and channelize students to achieve most of their individual talent and a greater understanding of themselves. It encourages the examination of values through the creative and responsible use of reason:

⮚ Prepare nurse and midwives who can make independent decision in nursing situation within the scope of practice, protect the rights of individual and group and conduct research in the areas of nursing practice and apply evidence based practice.

⮚ Planning, organizing and coordinating health service at primary, secondary and tertiary level of health care in developing nursing profession and providing dedicated and professionally qualified nurses.

⮚ Fostering the concept of nursing education for service of humanity

Philosophy

The college believes in training professional nurses from all states of India to meet the great demand in the field of nursing. Professional nursing is a life - long service to the people. College prepares its students to develop ability to analyze situations and problems critically and take responsibility for their higher education for maximum professional effectiveness through out their career.  College believes that degree course in nursing prepares nurses for first level position both in the hospital and in the community. Our concept of health from W.H.O. definition is "Health is a state of physical, mental and social well being and not merely absence of disease or infirmity."

Objectives 

⮚ To provide a broad based education for preparation of nursing personnel at advanced levels who can function in a wide variety of setting & contribute effectively towards professional upliftment.

⮚ To prepare a crop of well qualified nurses who can hold the leadership responsibilities. 

⮚ To develop ability to appraise research reports critically and acquire competencies in conducting qualitative studies in nursing.

⮚ To promote in - depth studies of Nursing with a view to prepare them for distinctive positions such as Nurse Specialist, Nurse practitioner, Consultant, Researcher, Educator & Administrator. 

⮚ To explore the center of excellence for higher studies in nursing and to give direction for serving contemporary & future needs of nursing developments.

Offered Courses

 

Counselling and career development 

Counselling and career development services provide assistance with student’s efforts to find a career/life direction, to develop coping skills, and to gain a better understanding of self, others, and the world. Workshop, Conference and Webinar offered through offline & online mode for the students to explore areas such as self- assessment, conflict resolution, stress management, substance use and abuse, career planning and job search strategies.  

Course – B. Sc. Nursing

B.Sc. Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing Science is a 04 Year degree Course, recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC) New Delhi, State Nursing Council, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh & Bhabha University, Bhopal. In which the 1^st Year will go through basic Medical & Nursing Science, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Basic Computer Skill and Basic Clinical Skill.

In 2^nd Year & 3^rd they will be undergoing Clinical practice in various Specialization departments like Medical, Surgical, CCU, ICU, Psychiatric & Paediatric. In 4^th Year they will be undergoing Clinical practice for Midwifery and Obstetrical training, Community Posting & Research. End of the course their will be 06 months Internship is compulsory in all department.

Eligibility & Admission Criteria

• 10+2 with PCB & E (Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English) Minimum 45 % Marks for General. 40 % for ST, SC Category.
• The minimum age for admission 17 Year on or before 31^st December of year of admission.
• MP PNST exam qualified.

Infra structure & Facilities –

Building: Faculty of Nursing College is housed in a beautifully constructed building. All classroom and Lecture halls are equipped with modern teaching aid and provided with comfortable and conducive environment for learning and assimilation according to I.N.C. norms. A Separate well furnished and fully equipped room for Lecture and Seminar Hall for B.Sc. Nursing course.

Library –

Faculty of Nursing College has a well stoked fully computerized Library which provides latest and up-to date reference and course books for B. Sc. Nursing. A large number of Journals, periodicals newspapers and magazines are being subscribed. A study room has been attached to the library for in depth study.

Teaching Facilities –

Faculty of Nursing College is employing latest techniques to bring attitudinal changes among students with the help of qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty so that raw hands could be converted in to dedicated well mannered nurse with desired level of professional acumen and an ability to manage patients.

Computer Education –

Regular classes for B. Sc. Nursing students are conducted in fully developed computer Lab with internet facility under the guidance of efficient faculty.

Clinical Training –

Students of B.Sc. Nursing are offered practical experience in nursing at own super Specialty Hospital. Each Student is required to submit Assignment, Practical File & a written report of research study conducted by her during the course under the guidance of faculty members of the college of rural and urban community health center Bhopal.

Games and Sports –

College has good Play Ground. Students ate encouraged to participate in games and sports for all round development of the student.

  Co-curricular Activities –

Co-curricular activities play an important role in the enhancement of personality. College is laying emphasis on conduct of competitions and competence building co- curricular activities.

Transportation –

College provides conveyance facilities by buses for clinical training and other student’s field work.

Student Nurses Association (SNA) –

Elections for S.N.A. are conducted by the students and appointment of office bearers is done accordingly. The Entertainment, Decoration, Sports, Catering, Students Welfare, Discipline, Cleanliness, Mess, Purchase and Reception Committee have also been nominated for smooth running of SNA activities.

College’s organizational linkage and development cell is assisting students in providing suitable placement in accordance with their competence & capability. Campus interviews are organized and consultant / project work is undertaken to provide work experience to students and gain confidence of the health industry.
